- Organic Argan Oil
What: oil from the argan nut.
Why: exceptionally rich in Vitamin E, carotene, squalene and essential fatty acids. Surpasses Jojoba Oil, so invest to get the most bang for your buck.
Uses: antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic, anti-acnegenic, anti-aging.
DIY: a few drops makes a fast absorbing serum, blemish treatment, dry cuticle treatment and split end treatment.
- Undaria Algae Oil
What: oil from Undarian (region in Argentina) algae.
Why: lightweight marine-based oil rich in sea minerals and omega fatty acids.
Uses: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.
DIY: a few drops makes a non-greasy moisturizer for normalizing environmental damage and sensitive skin; leave-in hair treatment.
- Organic Lavender Essential Oil
What: oil from lavender flowers.
Why: heals and soothes.
Uses: migraines, anxiety, stress, insomnia, aches, pains, cramps, acne, inflammation, burns.
DIY: a few drops added to Argan oil and you have a redness soother or 10 drops in distilled water creates a soothing toner.
- Organic Tea Tree Oil
What: oil from tea tree leaves.
Why: heals and calms.
Uses: antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, pain relief, acne.
DIY: a few drops makes a rash remedy, bug bite ointment and blackhead treatment.
- Organic Lemon or Orange Oil
What: oil from lemon or orange peels.
Why: detoxes and stimulates.
Uses: antiseptic, anti-fungal, dizziness, anxiety, nerves.
DIY: add 10 drops in distilled water for a brightening toner or add a few drops to Argan oil and massage on hair for shine.
- Raw Shea Butter
What: butter from the shea nut.
Why: anti-bacterial butter high in vitamins A and E.
Uses: scars, dark spots, stretch marks and wrinkles.
DIY: create a body butter and lip remedy: heat 1/2 cup of shea butter with a few drops of an essential oil. Pour into a sealable container and let solidify.
- Raw Fair Trade Sugar Finely Ground
What: non-processed sugar.
Why: exfoliates and adds moisture.
Uses: removes dead skin cells.
DIY: create a sugar scrub: 1/4 cup raw sugar, a few drops of lemon juice, an essential oil and Argan oil. Use in the shower while pores are open.
- Ground Oatmeal
What: milled grain.
Why: regulates sebaceous glands.
Uses: oily skin and scalp; acne; flaky skin and scalp.
DIY: create a nourishing mask: 1/2 cup of ground oatmeal, 1 teaspoon raw honey and 1/4 cup boiling water. Stir till you create a warm paste and leave on affected skin or scalp for 10-15 minutes.
